The File of Life indicates that For Your Peace of Mind is on the emergency call list. All emergency personnel know to take this file with the emergency patient to the hospital.

If your elderly relative resides in an assisted living facility, For Your Peace of Mind is contacted by the facility. If the client is taken by ambulance to a hospital, the FYPOM Patient Advocate will meet the client in the emergency room, coordinate with emergency room personnel on the client's behalf, ease the client's apprehension and communicate with the family members as to the status of the client.

If a client is living at home independently or with the assistance of a home health aide, the same procedure is followed.
