PRIVACY PROTECTION POLICY
For Your Peace of Mind, LLC may collect personal information, including social security numbers, from our clients when necessary to perform services on your behalf. In compliance with Connecticut General Statutes Section 42-471, For Your Peace of Mind, LLC adheres to the following Privacy Protection Policy.
As used in this policy, "personal information" means information capable of being associated with a particular individual through one or more identifiers, including but not limited to, a Social Security number, a driver's license number, a state identification number, an account number, a credit or debit card number, a passport number, an alien registration number or a health insurance identification number. As used in this policy, "personal information" does not include publicly available information that is lawfully made available to the general public from federal, state or local government records or widely distributed media.
This Privacy Protection Policy describes the guidelines that For Your Peace of Mind, LLC follows for information obtained in connection with the services it renders. We will protect the confidentiality of personal information, limit access to such information and prohibit unlawful disclosure. We will not disclose your personal information, including your social security number except as authorized by you. Access to the social security numbers of employees or clients is limited to those with a business need to access such information in order to fulfill a necessary business function or as required by law.
For Your Peace of Mind, LLC will safeguard data, computer files and documents containing your "personal information" in at least the following ways:
- Maintain written documentation containing personal information in a secure location with access limited to only those persons or entities necessary to execute their respective job functions
- Provide awareness and/or training to contractors, employees and staff regarding the privacy protection policy
- Ensure compliance with our Privacy Protection Policy through quality assurance/control
- Maintain adequate virus/firewall protection on any computer that the company has in its possession
- Destroy, erase or make unreadable data, computer files and documents containing your personal information prior to disposal.
We reserve the right to revise this policy at any time. We will notify you of any material changes to the policy by posting the new policy on our website which includes the most recent revision date.
